David Kasindi “Kongo” — Undefeated Professional Boxer
Super Welterweight • Team Tef Boxing • 2x Texas Golden Gloves Champion
Forged in Texas.
David Kasindi — known in the ring as "Kongo" — is an undefeated professional boxer who carries the spirit of the Democratic Republic of Congo into every fight. Born in Kinshasa and now residing in Frisco, Texas, the 6'1" super welterweight represents the bridge between two worlds: the raw determination of Central Africa and the competitive fire of American boxing.
David's boxing journey began shortly after arriving in the United States, when he joined the Lewisville Boxing Team under Coach Jamaal Lawson. Within just four months of training at LBT, he stepped into the ring and won the 2020 Texas Golden Gloves Championship — an extraordinary feat for someone so new to the country and the sport at that level.
Now training under Coach Tristan Ellison at Team Tef Boxing in Little Elm, TX, Kongo turned professional in November 2024 and has been devastating — winning both pro fights by knockout for a 100% KO rate. His power, aggression, and ring intelligence make him one of the most exciting young fighters in the DFW boxing scene.
Off the canvas, David is dedicated to growing the sport — offering select private training to those hungry to learn the sweet science.

When David Kasindi first arrived in the United States from the Democratic Republic of Congo, he found a home at the Lewisville Boxing Team (LBT) under Coach Jamaal Lawson — a former professional fighter and U.S. Olympic-level coach.
The results were immediate and extraordinary. Within just four months of joining LBT, David stepped into the ring and won the 2020 Texas Golden Gloves Championship. For someone who had been in the country barely a year, it was a statement: Kongo had arrived.
LBT — a gym that has produced Golden Gloves champions every year since 2013 — gave David the amateur foundation he needed to launch into the professional ranks. That foundation, combined with his natural power and relentless work ethic, set the stage for everything that followed.
